This class is for students currently producing works of a high observational standard to develop further skills by working with a live sitter. Drawing Workshops – Tone and shading techniques are explored, as well as pattern and line. Kids will learn to use charcoal and grey leads, sharpies and textas to create their own awesome artworks! Artists like Paul Cezanne, David Hockney, Dale Frank are examples of our influences and inspiration. No pressure, no grades—just space to experiment, play, and grow as an artist. I have booked two parties at Tennyson Studios for my daughters as they both wanted a ceramic art party. At both parties all the girls had a great time, and produced such beautiful pieces. I loved that they all learnt a little something about ceramic art, created something and were still able to interact with their friends. The atmosphere was fun, the studio was bright and the girls were surrounded by inspiring ceramic art pieces. As a parent it was a no-fuss, no stress party (literally just bring the cake).

At Art Class Sydney we run a Wednesday morning and evening and a Thursday morning class in painting and drawing. Classes are structured around different subjects and look at a variety of artists methods and genres. We also run monthly Sunday workshops in a variety of media and subjects including workshops in drawing, painting and watercolour from still life, portraits, landscape and abstraction. Birthday parties are the exception however we request only the birthday person's parents to be present. Intro to Java coding course is ideal for Y5 – Y11 students with no prior coding experience. Highly recommended to those kids who enjoy digital art and video games. By the end of the course, students will have developed a strong foundation in algorithmic design, debugging, and logical reasoning, along with the confidence to tackle more complex coding challenges. Artnest welcomes people of all ages and levels of experience. Each student will have their own easel to work on, including canvases all art materials.

I think the effort and the research put by the artists who run the program to make each project age appropriate, educational as well as inspiring is tremendous. To help you plan ahead, we usually advertise a reminder that enrolments for the next term of kids art classes are open around two weeks before the term starts. We strongly recommend enrolling early to avoid missing out, as places are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Kids learn handbuilding skills to create their own animal influenced flower or succulent planter pot!! Pieces are fired by me and returned to students at a later date.
