Driving south from Taitung city, Highway 9 will become the coastal highway.
This is five-star hotel for those with a large budget and an appreciation for amenities. It offers all the things a hotel of its stature should including spa and free gym. This artsy cafe has Taitung coffee as well as other coffee and teas and a small but interesting menu. Taitung's night life has been described as subdued, that may be true however there are of course some bars. What Taitung does have however, is a rather large number of cafes.

The 金樽咖啡 cafe, currently under maintenance due to a partial ground movement caused by a storm, offers an awe-inspiring panorama that surpasses the coastal scenery. It is an ideal spot to unwind and relish in the reasonably priced, delectable beverages crafted from fresh fruits. They have books you can borrow and they have outside seatings, too (if you don’t like air conditioning). The coffee is above average but the service is very satisfactory. You cannot bring your pets inside but they are allowed in the outside seating. The shop is clean, including the washroom/toilet.
The highlight for me was definitely the HUGE grilled squid. Besides the food stalls, there are the usual shops and some games too. Famous night market line with street vendors offering assortment of local favors. One of my favorite food is the deep-fried Spanish mackerel soup. I also enjoyed their local season fruit plate that goes well with it's unique dried plum powder. The store which was built in Japanese style during the Japanese era in the 1930s is really nicely conserved from in and outside.

Noodles, soups, and curries are all available. Preserved Vegetables, Fish Head Soup, and Pork Belly are all must-tries. Unique Burmese souvenirs are what makes it famous. You’ll also find stalls selling tickets to Myanmar because this is a place for Burmese Singaporeans. Shocked Dog Market in Canggu – less authentic but lots of tourist souvenirs and affordable clothing. The most popular are T-shirts with the local beer brand logo – Bintang, or “Nasi Goreng” written on them, a traditional fried rice dish in Indonesia.
Recommend to go early in the morning and spend entire noon time in the mountain. Have beautiful trees, Mountain View, caffe to enjoy with beautiful and mild cold weather. Roads are very neat and enjoy to ride scooters in the area. There are 16 pillars and 2 core pillars supporting the giant piece of art work in the station. We didn't see a lot of tourists from the west here even it was on the weekend. They come to take pictures of themselves a lot. You may want to consider this as an instagrammable spot. Just a typical place where there’s a playground, picnic area and  some benches sorrounded by trees. Although it's not as big as I thought it was. Nevertheless if you're a WOW player and a Blizzard fan then it's worth it to see.
