In Victoria, 3 and 4-year-old children are able to access a funded kindergarten program led by a Bachelor-qualified Early Childhood Teacher. If eligible, your child will be able to participate in the Government-approved Kindergarten program, at no cost, up to a minimum of 15 hours  per week, 40 weeks per year. All meals are thoughtfully planned to align with Australian nutrition guidelines, ensuring every bite supports healthy growth and development.

Sessional kindergarten is a structured, part-time program designed to support children in their early years of learning and development. Children engage in guided activities, build social connections, and explore their natural curiosities in a supportive and stimulating environment. Our experienced and caring educators ensure every child feels seen, heard, and valued.

The Victorian Government provides Free Kinder funding to our ELC, not directly to families. This means that Free Kinder will be credited on your invoice and you won't be out of pocket. We also do monthly check-ins to review availability, and you will receive a text message confirming whether you’re still happy to remain on the waitlist each month. Aspire Pakenham recently held their three-year old graduation ceremony in January, which was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our class of 2023. This ceremony was held at the Pakenham centre in the Woodland 3-year-old kinder room with children and their families all invited. During the ceremony, the children shared songs they learnt throughout the year, and signed their names with stamps as an official goodbye to their 3-year-old class. A presentation was also given by the educators and management team, and certificates were handed out to the children. It was a lovely afternoon at the centre, and the Pakenham team were so proud of the 2023 graduates and are excited to see them excel in the four-year-old kindergarten program. Our program offers a range of different experiences, incursions, excursions, and community events that ensure the children get the most out of the kindergarten program here at Aspire.
Our kindergarten program continues through school holiday periods, when our Kindergarten teacher is on leave, as our co-educators are well equipped to facilitate the program as directed by our Kindergarten teacher. Our kindergarten children also have the opportunity to tend to our centre veggie patch and experience the joy that comes from using their produce in their cooking experiences here at preschool. This combined facility supports community building through the integration of infant, preschool and primary learning facilities, aligning with the Victorian State Government’s current education priorities. The design is flexible and forward-looking, catering for future enrolment fluctuations, and incorporates ecologically sustainable features.
