The ANZ Board of Cosmetic Plastic Surgery provides ongoing certification to specialist plastic surgeons in the practice of cosmetic surgery. Dr Richard Ross is an Australian-trained Specialist Plastic and Reconstructive 玻尿酸填充 Surgeon. He has significant experience in complex facial skin cancer and breast reconstructive surgery, and has a special interest in facial aesthetic surgery, rhinoplasty, aesthetic breast surgery and body contouring.

The scope of work encompasses cleft lip and palate surgery, craniofacial surgery , and hand and upper lip surgery. It is expected that a research project will be completed during the fellowship. Together with the local senior trainee, the fellow will be leading the day to day management of the plastic surgery unit at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. The fellow will also be encouraged to supervise and teach the junior surgical registrars in the unit. On call is on average, a 1 in 5 rota covering Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital only. The fellow will also have the opportunity to participate in the regular consultant led teaching sessions, a program which is recognised as one of the most intensive in the nation.
The Fellow is required to participate in 2-3 major head & neck lists and 1-2 breast reconstruction lists per week and contribute to a research project leading to publication or presentation. The case load will also include emergency surgery and elective general plastic surgery lists. The Fellow will attend outpatient clinics and contribute to the management of inpatients. Dr Rajapakse graduated from Otago University, New Zealand in 1995 and has been practicing medicine for 20 years and surgery  for 15 years. Dr Rajapakse has a sub specialty interest in all aspects of plastic surgery of the Breast and Skin. After completing his plastic surgical residency Australia and New Zealand he then moved to Europe to further refine skills in aesthetic and microsurgical plastic surgery.
Dr Matthew Starr is an Australian and internationally trained Specialist Plastic Surgeon. Dr Starr grew up in Wollongong and is in fact the only Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon exclusively based in the Illawarra and South Coast region. Dr Starr successfully completed Postgraduate Fellowships at the internationally renowned Great Ormond Street and Royal Marsden Hospitals. He has since returned home to settle in the Illawarra and provide a specialist plastic, reconstructive & cosmetic surgery service to its community with appointments in both the public and private systems.

During her training, she completed multiple terms in areas of paediatrics , hand surgery as well as skin cancer treatment and reconstructive procedures. We have received correspondence from Health NSW regarding the NSW Private Health Facilities Regulation 2024, which commenced on commenced on 30 August 2024. The key changes to the Regulation are updates to the cosmetic surgery procedures that must be performed in licensed private health facilities.

His mentors also included Ear Nose and Throat Surgeons and Ophthalmologists to finesse the functional aspects of rhinoplasty and blepharoplasty procedures. His fellowship was awarded through the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. Advanced trainees also have the opportunity to apply for placement at special craniomaxillofacial training posts in various parts of Australia.
He spent time after completion of his residency in Sevilla, Southern Spain working with leading surgeons in Continental Europe. This was followed by further training in all aspect of microsurgical breast reconstruction and aesthetic breast surgery at St Thomas Hospital, London UK, and the prestigious London cancer hospital, the Royal Marsden. He performs both immediate and delayed breast reconstruction as well as other breast surgeries including breast augmentation, breast reduction, mastopexy and fat grafting. He also has a keen interest in all aspects of Skin Cancer including various reconstructive techniques. On a holistic level Dr Rajapakse, a keen practitioner of meditation and yoga and believes that in a similar manner recovery from an operation is a mindset and looking good is very much a function of feeling great.
