This is the last stop for my pan-taiwan island railway trip on the east coast. I arrived like about 4pm from hualien and took thr night local train to kaohsiung at about 7pm. Taitung is not really a large settlement at least by no means comparable to the cities in the west coast, but is still an important port and city especially in the east coast. A lot of greenery and fresh air make you feel great. There is seashore to visit within forest park. It’s called a tourist night market, but there are still a lot of unlabeled stalls... So I often wait in line for a cake and then leave... Very lively at weekend, it doesn't offer a broad selection of items, but a great old-fashioned market to have a look. Very good selection of goods at competitive prices.
Aside from it's the arrival and departure is on time, you can also bring your motorcycle or even your bicycle on it. Although I've visited on weekend, there's no long queue. A museum with lots of exhibitions during Renaissance period.
My impression to this magnificent ocean views with unique but spectacular rocks is probably the best in Taiwan. I personally think it’s better than the famous Yeliu. There are many rocks look like toad, frog, pig, kun ing, or even twisted human face.

The athletic amongst us soon joined in, including our expedition leader, Nathan Russ, all abiding by the visiting team protocol rule to  allow the home team to win. Soon we were saying our farewells and returning to our Zodiacs to rejoin theSpirit of Enderby. There were plethora of orchids that were on display in all directions as soon as I walked in. The quality of the orchids displayed reminds me of the ones I saw in dedicated orchid shows. Furthermore, the asking prices are quite reasonable, judging by what I have seen in other similar markets. One could argue that visiting this place is better than going to an orchid show as there is no admission fee. That said, I saw no rare orchid species in this place. Aside from orchids, there were other plants, wood carvings, porcelain figurines, and a rather diverse selections of planting pots for sale here.

The night market is well connected to public transportation and it is 2 km apart from the Taitung rail station. The night market has several outlets for nonvegetarian foods and a little for vegetarian lovers. The night market is a little small and which makes it crowded but it is free from scooters or cars passing.

Took a taxi here and they can order you a taxi out if you don’t have a car or scooter. Amazing exhibits detailing history of Taiwan and natives. Videos and interactions throughout are lovely. Small Pizzaria with decent pizza and a decent selection of items on their menu. The seating was a bit cramped and the staff turned off the music when they were finished making pizzas, which left the ambiance quite lacking.
It also features a large food court with a diverse selection of local and international cuisine. In addition to shopping and dining, Taichung Tiger City offers a range of entertainment options, such as a cinema complex, arcade, and children's play area. The center also hosts regular events and promotions, attracting a large number of visitors throughout the year.
Last time I was along, this time, with my family. Unbeknown to some, the kite was invented in China over 2,300 years ago. Kite-making has since been a prominent art form in China.

Trying to fill the place with a handful of expensive art shops isn't gonna let this place live. Dali Art Plaza, A big center that is probably the dream of every kid as its full of children's Jamboree and other kid's indoor playgrounds. It also has an advanced technology exhibition full of lights, a mirror room, and huge colorful lights balls that are perfect for those who wants some Instagram  pictures.
